This past holiday season Madewell released their second collaborative collection with British girl about town Alexa Chung. Filled with easy separates the collection was an instant hit causing their web-site to crash upon release. When I caught sight of these flat leopard Manolo boots at the Venice store I was strongly reminded of the “Zowie” boots by Alexa Chung for Madewell. I remember going to the collection launch and watching as mothers and daughters feverishly grabbed at the Zowie boots (some not even looking for their proper sizes). and causing a scene.

To be honest these  flats are more my thing (not only because they are several hundred dollars cheaper) because I think they are a more subtle approach to the leopard trend that’s on and off every few months.
