Every summer, California legislators return to their home districts and hold town halls and other meetings with constituents. Every year we take this opportunity to continue building relationships with our legislators. This year, we met with key local elected officials and California legislators and uplifted issues pressing the communities where we work, live, and serve. Priority issues included homelessness, affordable housing, childcare, inclusive healthcare access, food insecurity, and uplifting people out of poverty with Guaranteed Income Program Pilots, allocations of more funds towards education, trade training, rental assistance, and health care costs.

Join the Planning Committee.
We are officially starting the planning of our yearly commemoration of Roe V. Wade. As we have all witnessed the latest attacks on abortion access in Texas, the Supreme Court's reaction marks a very troublesome period in our nation. More than ever, it is pivotal we raise awareness of the need to protect abortion access and protections for women all over the country.
So, if you are interested in taking part in our planning committee meeting scheduled for Friday, September 24th, from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm, email staff Nabila Sosa for zoom details and any additional questions you may have.
