Spotlight on Canoga Park Reboot

Have you heard? Our Canoga Park shop recently had a reboot making your shopping experience more pleasant. So, it’s a perfect time to highlight this San Fernando Valley gem.

You don’t need to be a seasoned thrift store shopper to beeline to your destination. Simply pause and look around to quickly understand how the different areas of the store are organized. The new blue and green customer service sign welcomes all shoppers and, as a bonus, is centrally located, so you are never far from help.

The gleam of the new glass displays showcase the current collectible and unique items for sale. Beautiful porcelain and crystal pieces grace the shelves. See our photos for some key examples. Colorful bracelets and bangles line the jewelry trays—don’t forget that accessories complete your outfit!

Summer has officially arrived along with the signal to take out our summer wardrobe, though in Southern California, waiting for warm weather is rarely an issue. The women’s clothing section blooms with fun summer dresses in an array of colors.

Good news for denim lovers – the jeans section is quite full. Browsing through the racks, we’ve spotted several top brands including a personal favorite, Lucky Brand. Denim trends continue so this Valley favorite is a great location to snag a new pair at a steal of a price. You can also find other denim that may be perfect for denim related DIY projects.

Another standout section is the artwork available at the store. The vast selection available ranges from fun, funky pieces to the more traditional artwork. We’ve even spotted tapestry, and who would have thunk it?

One of the Canoga Park regulars put it best, “You have to keep on coming by to check out the new stuff. And when you see something you like. Get it then, or it will be gone.”

When you are looking for something unique, a visit to one of eight Council Thrift Shops will not disappoint.
