Obviously 4th of July is no where near as important as say Halloween on the costume scale but it still has a certain dress code. Though it is not like St. Patrick’s Day when the wearing of green is violently enforced, it is still likely that you will feel out of place if you are not wearing something navy, red, or white. While all white outfits are easily the chicest (I am still on the hunt for a pair of perfect white jeans) the easiest way to celebrate is in a navy or red striped boatneck.

This year I found myself looking forward to July 4th not just for the endless driving around in search of fireworks but because I also had an outfit picked out several weeks ago. Thanks to the last sale at Veteran I had a dress that was theme appropriate and sure to stand out!

So here I am pictured wearing a Dolce and Gabbana mini dress from the Veteran store with my own Repetto loafers and 3.1 Phillip Lim bag.
