NCJW|LA 2020 Virtual Lobby Day
Tuesday, May 19, 2020
9:00am – 5:00pm
NCJW|LA invites you to raise your voice and join our FREE Virtual Lobby Day!
This is a one-of-a-kind Lobby Day, as it gives you an opportunity to advocate for essential policies to protect our most vulnerable populations during this devastating COVID-19 pandemic.
Our Lobby Day priorities and bills are strongly connected to our mission of advancing economic justice and equity for low-income women.
To register for the 2020 Virtual Lobby Day click here.
Registration will remain open from Friday, April 24 to Friday, May 8 though we encourage you to register as early as possible.
Before Virtual Lobby Day, we will hold special Zoom trainings to ensure our LA section attendees are familiar with the priority bills and to hash-out other details, including meeting roles.
On May 19, Lobby Day will begin with a training session for our participants (9 am-12 pm). We will invite speakers from organizations leading the fight in each of our issue areas to present and take questions. We will also set aside time to talk about the do’s and don’ts of advocacy and how to be most effective in a virtual environment. Then in the afternoon (12pm-5pm), the LA section will “meet” with legislators and/or legislative staff from their districts.
