In-District Visits 2021 Recap

During our In-District Visits, we met with local Councilmembers, Supervisors, and Assemblymembers:

Councilmember O’Farrell
On Monday, July 26, we meet with Councilmember O'Farrell, staff director of the HEART of Hollywood initiative Daniel Halden, Legislative Deputy Adrienne Epstein, and Advocacy Working Group members: Randy Dobbs, Lauren Buisson, and staff Nabila Sosa, Michelle Galan, and Rachel Resnick.

Assemblymember Santiago
On Monday, July 26, we met with Assemblymember Santiago, staff Legislative Fellow Rebecca Ayala, Advocacy Working Group members: Cipra Nemeth, Randy Dobbs, and Jessica Dreyer, along with staff Nabila Sosa, Rachel Resnick, and Maria Vazquez.

Assemblymember Bryan
On Tuesday, July 27, we met with Assemblymember Bryan, Scheduler Yvonne Ibarra, Chief of Staff Caleb Rabinowitz, and Advocacy Working Group Members: Cipra Nemeth, Randy Doobs, Advocate Naomi Goldman, and Advocate Keely Field, along with staff Nabila Sosa.

On Thursday, July 29, we met with Assemblymember Nazarian, along with Advocacy Working Group members: Randy Dobbs, Melissa Pinsly, and Corrine Ho, and staff Nabila Sosa and Rachel Renick

Assemblymember Burke
On Tuesday, August 3, we met with Assemblymember Burke and staff Deputy District Director Ari Ruiz Office Assistant Eric Carillo and Advocacy Working Group members: Randy Dobbs, Julie Friedman, and staff Nabila Sosa and Michelle Galan.

Supervisor Kuehl
On Wednesday, August 11, we met with Supervisor Kuehl, staff District Director for the West/Metro Los Angeles office Fernando Morales Administrative Assistant & Caseworker Rachel Sherrell, and Advocacy Working Group members: Susan Issacs, Julie Friedman, Advocate Keely Fields, and staff Nabila Sosa and Michele Galan.

Assemblymember Friedman
Thursday, August 12, we met with Assemblymember Friedman staff Legislative Assistant Isah King, Advocacy Working Group members: Randy Dobbs, Cipra Nemeth, and Julie Friedman advocate and volunteer Lauren Buisson and staff Nabila Sosa and Selene Lopez
As the legislators rest and reset to begin to craft their 2022 legislative calendar, staff, volunteers, and advocates will pause, reexamine 2021 advocacy efforts and plan for 2022 as we strive to improve economic justice and equity for working women and their families.
